15.05.20 – COVID-19 MESSAGE TO MEMBERS


Courts One & Three are OPEN providing you adhere to all of the guidelines below.


Ultimately it is YOUR responsibility to stay safe and ensure the safety of your fellow members. If any member does not comply with these guidelines then they WILL BE asked to leave the courts.

The BTC committee has read all the information from the UK Government and the LTA around tennis and considered how it can be applied to our club as we ALL need to ensure the health and safety of players and coaches.

LTA GUIDELINES – PLAYING TENNIS DURING LOCKDOWN IN ENGLAND

  • Maximum two people per court (unless all players are from the same household);
  • Only handle your own racket and personal (marked) tennis balls;
  • Only one-to-one coaching permitted;
  • Avoid changing ends or change at opposite sides of the net;
  • Online/phone bookings and payments advised;
  • Buffer period between bookings (eg 10 minutes);
  • Maintain social distancing (two metre rule) at all times;
  • Follow Public Health Guidelines for hygiene;
  • Do not play if you are self-isolating.

BTC GUIDELINES – PLAYING TENNIS DURING LOCKDOWN IN ENGLAND

The BTC committee has read all the information from the UK Government and the LTA around tennis and considered how it can be applied to our club as we ALL need to ensure the health and safety of players and coaches.

YOU MUST book a court – please allow a 10 minute gap between bookings to allow players to vacate the court.  Example:

  • Court booking 10:00-12:00
  • Next court booking 12:10-13:40
  • Next court booking 13:50-16:50
  • Cars are to be parked on the road and not in the car park;
  • Please park considerately;
  • Do not park anywhere on the slope in front of the five-bar gate or car park entrance as this is needed for large machinery access;
  • Pedestrian access the courts is via the car park and viewing area – do not cross over the cricket grounds;
  • No spectators will be allowed unless you are the parent/guardian of a Junior aged 16 or below;
  • Avoid touching any BTC equipment including nets, posts and gates;
  • Court 2 has been taken out of action in order to avoid stray tennis balls and therefore compromising social distancing;
  • Please take your rubbish home with you.

Access to the cricket club clubhouse is forbidden.

DO NOT touch any part of the cricket clubhouse:

  • The car park bollard;
  • Five bar gate;
  • Dustbins at the entrance to the car park;
  • Black doors to the viewing area;
  • If in doubt do not touch anything.

To ensure that Brixworth TC complies with government guidelines, please could members confirm that they have read, understood and agreed to abide with the guidance set out above by simply replying “I Agree” to the Brixworth TC 2019/2020 and Brixworth Juniors 2019/20 WhatsApp groups.
