Understanding Qualification vs Accreditation
Coach Accreditation is the LTA’s professional membership scheme for coaches. Being Accredited ensures that a coach is qualified, insured and meets safe to practise standards, such as first aid and child protection training. An Accredited Plus Coach also commits to a minimum of 15 hours of professional development training each year.
Qualifications range from 1 to 5 and indicate the level of formally assessed training a coach has completed and passed. Level 1 and 2 are coaching assistants with Level 5 being the highest available qualification.
